Actors Pay Courtsey Visit To Veteran Actress Bukky Ajayi.

82 year old veteran actress, Bukky Ajayi, who has been away from the movie scene on health grounds, was on June 15, paid a courtesy visit by a couple of entertainers lead by Joke Silva.





According to reports, the visit is part of a noble initiative to celebrate industry veterans.
It will be recalled that the actress gave an emotional speech at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), when she was presented with the ‘Industry Merit Award’ alongside Sadiq Daba: both are veterans of repute.


Posting the picture of the visit on her Instagram page, Joke Silva wrote; “TAA with the gorgeous unassuming super talented mama Bukky Ajayi. We went down memory lane…we laughed, we cried and we prayed. Well done Mildred Okwo for bringing all the generations together…it’s the only way we can grow.”



Veteran actress, Zainab Bukky Ajayi, who loves what she does for a living with passion, converted to Islam in the early eighties and chose the name Zainab. Her love for the theatre started as a young girl when her father used to take her to the cinemas.

Niger Delta Avengers Meet Oil Minister Kachikwu At Delta State Government House

Nigeria and the Niger Delta Avengers, the militant group that has been attacking oil pipelines in the Niger Delta region, on Wednesday agreed during a secret meeting to pursue dialogue to end the violence, which has reduced Nigeria's daily oil production to 680,000 barrels per day.



The meeting was held at the Governor's Office in Asaba, Delta State between Nigeria's Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, with representatives of Niger Delta Avengers and other militant groups.


A copy of the communique of the meeting obtained by SaharaReporters shows that the meeting also had in attendance the Delta State Governor, Patrick Ifeanyi Okowa; an Itsekiri militant leader, Ayirimi Emami; a representative of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Michael Johny;and two persons representing the interest of the Niger Delta Avengers: Gbeneka Godspwoer and Dan Ekpebide.
