New AGN President Emeka Ike Says Jailed Ibinabo Fiberesima Could Bag A Second Jail Term....

Early in the week, reports surfaced online that the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos struck out the Actors Guild of Nigeria’s Board of Trustees and Ibinabo Fiberesima’s suit challenging the nullification of her election as President of the body and also challenging the legitimacy of the presidency of Emeka Ike and his executives.

The implication of this judgment is that the Emeka Ike-led executive remains the only authentic and lawful leadership of AGN.
In a chat with Saturday Beats, the actor said that although he has nothing to do with Ibinabo’s predicament, the actress could bag another jail term because of contempt of court.

ON HIS VICTORY AND IBINABO'S PREDICAMENT

He said, “My victory at the court has nothing to do with Ibinabo’s predicament. This case is different and if Ibinabo is going to go to jail for my own case, they should come and beg me. Instead of them to come and beg me, they are still going to the press to say all sorts of rubbish about me. There is still a second jail term for Ibinabo. It is called contempt of court and it would also include Segun Arinze. People have threatened to kill me but I am not scared of them. I am waiting for them and I would look them in the face and tell them that they are evil and I am righteous. I did not take the issue to the police but straight to the court and I am happy that justice has been served. Anyone that ties Ibinabo’s plight to my victory is only trying to blackmail me and I know they would not stop blackmailing me. How can anyone say that I sent Ibinabo to jail? Am I the Giwa family or the government?”

The actor said he feels bad about Ibinabo’s situation but it could have been prevented if the actress was more remorseful over the death of Dr. Giwa, the young man who was knocked down by the actress over a decade ago. Ike said it was unfortunate that the actress surrounded herself with sycophants who led her to jail.
“How can I be happy that Ibinabo has been sentenced to jail? I feel very bad. The people saying that I am happy about the sentence are actually Ibinabo’s enemies. This is a lady that was used because of the powers she could garner and control. Some people were using her and now that they have messed her up, they are still using her in prison. Ibinabo would never say that Emeka Ike sent her to jail, it is impossible because she knows why she is there. What I was only telling Nigerians is that people of Ibinabo’s status do not contest for any public office. Should we stop telling the truth? She had a criminal issue in court.

Let’s leave sentiments, we have to be realistic. I cannot be happy about her predicament because it is rather unfortunate that she is surrounded by the wrong people and advisers; she was surrounded by sycophants. Instead of them to tell her how to solve her problem, they were pushing her to jail and now that she is in jail, they will not leave her alone. Why did they not advise her to form a team and go to Giwa’s family house and roll on the floor for forgiveness? They could have sent her away for days but they would not send her away forever. We are a cultural people, I am sure that after going repeatedly, an elder in the family would plead on her behalf and say something like, ‘our son is dead and nothing can bring him back, let us just forgive her.’

She should have been very remorseful but she wasn’t. We told Nigerians that some of us would not agree but they began to call us names because we took the matter to court,” he said.

However, when Saturday Beats contacted the Public Relations Officer of the Ibinabo-led AGN, Moji Oyetayo; she said that the case did not involve Emeka Ike neither did the judgement validate him as the President of AGN.
She added that the guild intends to keep quiet over the present situation of Ibinabo because they believe she will be out soon.

“The statement making rounds purportedly issued by one Femi Durojaiye who claims to be the National Secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria is a misinterpretation of justice and is capable of causing chaos in our noble Guild.

Our application for stay of execution in the judgement for the case between St. Maradona and AGN at the Federal High Court Lagos was dismissed yesterday. It has nothing to do with Emeka Ike and his cohorts. It’s a complete misinformation and distortion of facts, borne out of desperation to cause confusion in the Guild. There is an appeal on the same judgement pending at the appeal court and we have up to 30days to file another motion for the stay of execution as granted by the Federal High Court. Our application was not dismissed for lack of merit but as a result of some mistakes in the filing process.

Why all the hues and cries? People should not be too desperate for power without being sensitive to the mood of the Guild members who are in prayer mood praying fervently for God’s intervention over the unjust predicament of President Ibinabo Fiberesima. After all, we are professional actors and not politicians. The struggle to lay claim to power at all cost is tarnishing our reputation,” she said.

17 Year Old Nigerian Girl Allegedly Raped And Impregnated By Her Lebanese Boss

Roda T who worked as a maid for professional Lebanese chef Hussein in his Allen Avenue residence has narrated how she was raped twice by her Hussein.

I started working with the man as a maid immediately I came to Lagos. He agreed to pay me N10,000 monthly as my salary. When I packed into the house, my boss was not around but he came back two days later from his work place.

On this particular day, my boss was about to leave the house when his brother asked me to go and meet him and collect some money to purchase food items for the house. I knocked on his door, he answered and asked me to come inside. When I entered, I told him that his brother asked me to collect money to purchase food items. He said okay and got up from where he was sitting, and pretended as if he wanted to get the money before he grabbed me forcefully. I struggled with him and was shouting but he over powered me and raped me.

The following month when I discovered that I had missed my monthly cycle, I informed him about it but instead of finding solution to it, he raped me a second time. I then kept disturbing him about the growing pregnancy. What he did was to send me to a nearby chemist with a prescription but the attendant refused to attend to me without his presence. He later went with me and bought some drugs which he asked me to take to abort the pregnancy. I took the drugs but nothing happened. After some days, he bought another set of drugs which I took, yet, nothing happened. I then became very worried and was disturbing him to find a solution to the problem he caused. That was when he started threatening me and later sacked me after paying me N19,000. I was so afraid that when I went back to my brother who brought me to Lagos, I didn’t tell him that I was pregnant for my boss. I was just praying that the pregnancy will just disappear but it did not. Unknown to my brother that I was pregnant, he got me another job where I worked for four months as a maid before my new employer discovered that I was pregnant and told my brother.

Speaking to Crime Guard, Rhoda’s brother Joshua, said,

It was January this year that we discovered she was pregnant. Her stomach was still flat and we had to take her for scan. It was then she revealed that her former boss, Hussein, was responsible for her pregnancy. So, we went to Hussein’s house to confront him but he denied being responsible for the pregnancy. We therefore reported the case to the Immigration Department in Ikeja and on February 9, 2016, he was arrested but was later released

From immigration department, my sister was taken to the National Agency For The Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP. Initially, officials of NAPTIP said she would be with them until she delivers but last week, officials of the agency came and asked me to come and take my sister back as she will soon deliver. The pressure and threats from NAPTIP became too much to the extent that I don’t know whether they are protecting the interest of my sister who was abused by a foreigner or that of the foreigner.

The next morning, one Hassan called claiming to be the nephew of Hussein. He said his sister informed him of our visit to his residence the previous day. According to him, whatever happened between his Hussein and Roda was a mistake and that they were doing everything within to resolve the issue while Hussein has agreed to take care of Roda until she gives birth. He however added that a DNA will be carried out to determine the paternity of the baby but the family will not refuse to take responsibility.

When Vanguard visited the residence of the Hussein in Ikeja, he was not around but a lady in the house promised to inform him about their visit and get back to them.

Vanguard also visited the Ikeja Zonal Office of NAPTIP but could not meet the Director as he was said to have traveled out of the state for official duty. A lady who said she was the Public Relations Officer told them that only the Director was authorized to speak to the press on the issue and promised to get back to them when the Director gets back, but since then, her contacts have been unreachable according toVanguard.

Popular Prophet Dr Chris Okafor Says He Gives El Rufai 14 Days To Retrace His Steps Or Face The Wrath Of God!

Popular prophet, Dr. Chris Okafor came under a strange unction on Sunday, March 20, 2016 during service at his Liberation City Church headquarters, when he gave the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El Rufai an ultimatum regarding his impending Religious Bill, expected to be passed any moment.

The man of God started by reading out the details of the proposed bill from a mobile phone and then he screamed, “El Rufai, Herod, leave the church alone!”

He then went on to explain the potential anti-christian implications of the bill and warned that El Rufai was only being used to test run something that would later become a bigger plan to Islamize Nigeria, and that if El Rufai is left to go ahead with the bill unchallenged, that at least five more Northern States will follow suite, then all the Northern States and finally, the rest of Nigeria.

Before his congregation of several thousand worshippers and on live television viewed by millions of people in more 160 countries around the world, he sent a strong warning to Governor El Rufai declaring “It will not happen in my time…it will not happen in your time…it will not be on record that it happened in my time…No! It will not happen!” to a thunderous applause from the congregation.

He then continued “El Rufai take time! God is angry with you! You have 14 days to reverse that law or the wrath of God will come against you! You should count it, 14 days from today (March 20, 2016), he has 14 days to reverse and invalidate that law… if he refuses to do so, he should expect the wrath of God to visit him!

Speaking to journalists who thronged the worship center upon the declarations, the man of God said, “I prayed very well, and the Lord told me to go ahead and warn El Rufai. And I want you all to count 14 days from the day of the prophecy (March 20, 2016). If he does not retrace his steps and abandon that bill, God will take steps to honor His words. 14 days! Please count it”

“To Abandon Saraki Is To Abandon A Worthy comrade” – APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Timi Frank has said in a statement issued in Abuja that the unending trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT is tantamount to repaying a good man with evil.

Frank described as worrisome, the negligence of the ruling party in the trial of the country’s number three man over the assets he declared 13 years ago as the Governor of Kwara State.
He said:

I sincerely hold that the current trial of Saraki is not only underserved, but amounts to paying a good man with evil. I also want to say that the leaders of our great party have unfortunately remained quiet in the face of evil.

I don’t believe we have forgotten that the victory of the APC during the last general elections could not have been possible without courageous strategists like Saraki who lent their political weight in favour of the APC at the risk of their own lives and personal survival. I don’t think we have forgotten how Saraki as a Senator in the 7th Senate brought the attention of Nigerians to the fraud perpetrated by the last administration in the name of fuel subsidy.

I don’t think we have forgotten so soon how Saraki led five other governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) into the APC – a development that successfully turned the political tide against the PDP and eventually tipped the electoral scale against them during the 2015 general elections. I don’t think we have forgotten how Saraki led scores of Senators to cross over to the APC on the floor of the Senate. I don’t think we have also forgotten what he gave of his time, personal resources and energy to ensure that the APC emerged victorious both at the National, State and Local Government level.

“The question is: Why is the case of Saraki being treated differently at the CCT that in 2011 struck out the case against one of our national leaders because he was not given the opportunity to deny or admit the alleged discrepancies in his asset declaration forms in line with Section 3(d) of the CCB/CCT Act unlike 11 other ex-governors who had similar cases of irregularities whose cases were dropped by the CCB after they were invited by the agency.

Or where else in the world will the number three citizen of a country be hulled before a tribunal over alleged irregularities in his asset declaration forms 13 years ago, and the hierarchy of the ruling party to which he is a bonafide member will not come out to show solidarity or defend him? If it is true that the trial of the Senate President is not borne out of genuine desire to fight corruption but is being carried out for selfish political ends, then who is next?

He concluded with this:

Even the holy scriptures admonish us not to muzzle the ox that threshes the corn. Saraki has paid his dues at a time it was suicidal for anybody to stand up against the then ruling PDP. I believe it is time for all of us to act to save our party. It is time to rally round our generals who have fought valiantly and led us to victory. To abandon Saraki is to abandon a worthy comrade.
