According to PremiumTimes, The woman was idetified as Kafayat Somoye,and a witness disclosed that the mother was taking her child, Ganiyat, and her brother, Ganiyu, to school, when a cracked wall of the building located near their home suddenly collapsed and fell on the duo.
The woman is a petty trader while her daughter attended Methodist Primary School, Ago-Oko, Abeokuta.
Onlookers and sympathisers besieged the scene of the incident as policemen arrived at about 9am to evacuate the bodies.
As the bodies were being removed and prepared to be taken to the hospital, sympathisers who were close to the deceased began weeping uncontrollably.
The scene of the event has been cordoned off and government agencies notified of the collapse.
